Solid 4 - 5 ft waves in Foz - Rapture Surf Camp Portugal

Today it was like so often, the predicted swell hit us one day earlier than expected. After it has been almos like a lake the day before we could not trust our eyes when we got up this morning. Surf was bumping. Andi woke up everyone to go for an early and we had solid 4 - 5 ft glassy waves almost to ourselves. After 1 1/2 h of surfing a few portuguese rocked up and it started to get a bit hectic. But everyone was already satisfied by the amount of waves we had gotten so we went in. Swell kept building up so we went out for another surf session in early arvo.

We surfed Bingin all day as the waves were like 2 to 3 ft and great for beginners as the tides are quiet full at the moment. Some great rides had by all.

This week will be insane 3ft all week with no wind and many options to surf different spots. Great for all So those who are booked in will love it

The last few days we had really small waves here in Foz do Lizandro. The swell died consistently and we could watch it dropping from tide to tide. This arvo it was less than 1 ft which made a sad sight as the ocean looked like a lake and not much surfing was going on. Nonetheless we went out on the longboards. All in all fun session with reverse and double take-offs.

Well today we saw a massive rise in swell slight wind drop and slight rise in crowds. We split out groups into 3 , beginners surfed Padang Padang from 9 till 4 with some great rides to be had by all 3ft (1mtre). Intermediates surfed Balangan whilst some others decided to venture out and find secluded uncrowded clean waves and we did but solid 6 to 8 ft over 2 mtre waves came in and really consistent but clean and fun.

Zero people just me and some friends. All day fun waves of around 3ft and not a soul to be seen a great day of waves just need some knowledge of the area and some hiking and a little bit of patience.

The forecast swell hit Ericeira yesterday morning. With 7 ft it was too big for Foz do Lizandro - the banks would not hold it and we had a lot of close-outs. We checked the other spots as well. The reef-breaks Backdoor, Reef and Pedra Branca did not work. Ribeira d'Ilhas looked good but we could not go out as a Junior Pro Comp was on this weekend.

We surfed Padang Padang today with the beginners and A secret spot on Nusa dua as the wind changed late in the arvo and was great for the east coast. padang slightly crowded as it was weekend but we waited and the crowded thined out and we had some nice clean long rides good times for all to enjoy.
