Rapture Surf Camp Portugal was totally disconnected from the outer world for a few days as the internet connection broke down and due to being weekend we could not get it fixed. That's also why we could not post any surf reports. But we are back in the realms of the internet ... So here it comes: Surf was pretty good the last days. The messy conditions cleared up, we got better weather with loads of sun and the swell stayed around. So we had fun 3 - 4 ft waves here in Foz do Lizandro.
Balangan at 6 crack of dawny soft little waves clean and fun for the beginners who surfed there till 3 in the arvo. Long Long day of surfing for us. Maybe 3ft on the odd set but mainly 2fters. The more advanced surfers hit up Ulu's for 2 sessions not many options as the swell was small and the wind was on it .
3ft all day.
Slowing right down tomorrow to 1.3mtres then back up Monday so should be good.
We knew the swell would drop quick so we headed out early to Padang Padang with the beginners as the tide was great for them they surfed 6 till 9 then 11 till 1 ...some great waves early on but as the day progressed the wind came up and so did the crowds at one time we counted 40 people out padang ..not good to see our local spot so crowded but we dealt with it still some good rides. The advanced surfers headed to East coast which was clean and not a soul around yehehehehe sic waves solid 5fters coming through all day fun and loads of waves ...ahhhh tired
Dennis Merker Mate, thx for a perfect holiday. Nice accommodation, good food, open-minded people, good time and relaxing. Will come back... Cheers Dennis the menace...
The solid swell came as predicted beginners headed out to Jimbaran early to get the most of the beachy. Fun little 2fters rolling in clean and short. For the late Teko and myself hit up Outside cnr's for some clean long rides. Grabbed the 6'3 thinking it would be maybe 6ft arriving to solid 8 maybe 10fters coming in fast. We hit it up any way loved it bit crowded to start off with which is unusual for that size but the contest between us was on.
Sorry for the two days without surf report but there was not much new to tell ... it was pretty much all the time big and messy ... a full wind swell. Also we had some rain at night and some hours during the day. But it always cleared up and then everyone was eager to go out. Yesterday we walked over to Sao Julio which seems to hold the big swell better. Was a sick little trip along the cliff and we spotted a few places where we could give our camp-rod a try ... we'll see if we catch some.
