Bacalhau, or codfish, is one of the most present ingredients in Portuguese cuisine.

This recipe is made with codfish (Bacalhau), eggs and potatoes and it’s one of the most famous around the country, as it’s so simple and easy to make! You can also try this recipe with other fish or with chicken!

Bacalhau à bras is the perfect lunch to recharge your energies for a fun afternoon of surfing.

  • Instructions.
  • Ingredients.
    1. Crush the garlic cloves and put them in a wide saucepan with low heat. Slice the onions and let them fry together with the garlic in olive oil.
    2. Add the codfish and the shoestring potatoes and mix everything together. Let the potatoes become soft.
    3. In a bowl, beat the eggs with a fork.
    4. Add the eggs to the codfish and mix it all together until everything is cooked.
    5. Taste everything and see if the seasoning is ok. Serve the dish with finely chopped parsley and olives on top.

    • Garlic cloves 2
    • Olive Oil 4 spoons
    • Codfish (soaked and thawed) 600g
    • Shoestring potatoes 200g
    • Eggs 6
    • Black olives 50g
    • Parsley As preferred
