Surfing And Lessons

Can beginners surf at Uluwatu?

Generally, the main breaks at Uluwatu are best for intermediate and experienced surfers due to their power and reef bottom. However, some nearby local surf spots like "Baby Padang" (Padang Padang Right) or Dreamland Beach, both in the Uluwatu area, can be suitable for beginners on smaller days.

Where is the best surf spot in Bali?

"Best" depends on your skill! Bali has world-class surf for everyone. The Bukit Peninsula alone boasts legendary spots like Uluwatu, Padang Padang, and, of course, Green Bowl. Our surf school will help you discover the perfect waves for your level, whether it's a beginner-friendly beach break or a challenging reef.

How are surf sessions organized based on skill level and conditions

The surf team assesses each guest’s surf level on arrival. Daily briefings match surfers to appropriate breaks based on morning conditions—beginners to Baby Padang or Dreamland, intermediates to Bingin or inside sections, advanced surfers to Uluwatu or Padang Padang main peak. Small groups ensure personalized attention.

Which month is best for surfing in Bali?

Bali offers great surf year-round! The dry season (roughly April to October) is fantastic for the west coast breaks, while the wet season (November to March) sees the east coast come alive. No matter when you visit, our experienced surf instructors know where to find the best conditions for your skill level.

Where is the best place to learn surfing for beginners?

For beginners in Bali, places like Kuta Beach, Legian, Seminyak, or Padang Padang Right are often recommended due to their gentler waves and sandy bottoms. Our surf school at Rapture Surfcamps in Green Bowl will offer surf lessons at the most suitable local surf spots for your current skill level, ensuring a safe and effective learning experience.

If it rains, will the surf lessons be cancelled

No, surf lessons are only cancelled in case of danger (lightning storm etc).
