Tofu & Tempeh

This easy and delicious recipe features a perfectly balanced meal. It is also vegetarian friendly! Our special marinade comprises a very intense flavor into the tofu and tempeh. Our guests always ask for seconds at our Bali Camps. More than a vegetarian dish, it provides a lot of  healthy ingredients to help you recharge after surfing, along with the perfect flavors!

  • Instructions.
  • Ingredients.
    • Add 2 tbsp of oil to a large wok and heat on medium-high, then stir fry the onion and garlic until softened. Add the carrots, chinese cabbage and spinach, frying for 2 minutes. Stir in the egg until cooked.
    • Mix in the sauce ingredients and spices, stirring well. Cook for 2 mins, taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
    • Slice the tofu and tempeh into chunks and in a small frying pan, add 1 tbsp of oil, heating on medium-high. Fry the tofu and tempeh until golden brown on all sides. Remove from pan and drain on some kitchen roll. 
    • Now prepare the special marinade. Sauté the onions, garlic and tomato in the small frying pan. Once softened, add sauces and seasoning, slowly cooking for a few minutes to combine. Stir in the tofu and tempeh at the end, then turn off the heat.
    • Serve tofu and tempeh with the cooked rice and vegetable mix. Enjoy!

    • Tempeh 200g
    • White rice 200g
    • Chinese cabbage 200g
    • Asian water spinach 50g
    • Carrots 2
    • Cloves of garlic 3
    • Onion, finely chopped 1
    • Eggs 2
    • Vegetable Oil 3 tbsp

    • For the sauce:
    • Oyster sauce 3 tbsp
    • Soy sauce 1 tbsp
    • Tomato ketchup 3 tbsp
    • Sweet soy sauce 3 tbsp
    • Salt
    • Pepper

    • For the marinade:
    • Tomato, diced 1
    • Onion, sliced 1
    • Cloves of garlic 3
    • Sweet soy sauce 3
    • Oyster sauce 2tbsp
    • Tomato sauce 1 tbsp
    • Soy sauce 1 tbsp
    • Salt
    • Pepper
